The Khonoma Women Union, with support from the Women Resource Development Department under the Myki Village Adoption Initiative (TLI), will organize the Chümerie (Garlic) Festival at Terhuotsiese, Khonoma village, on March 14, 2025, from 11 a.m. onwards.

Showcasing Local Organic Produce

The festival will feature a variety of local organic garlic, fresh vegetables, and handloom products. The event aims to promote local produce and traditional crafts, encouraging community participation and sustainable agriculture.

Guest & Participating Departments

Minister of Rural Development, Metsübo Jamir, will attend as the special guest. Several government departments, including Women Resource Development, Horticulture, and Agriculture, will also participate.

The organizers have invited the general public to attend, experience the local culture, and purchase fresh organic produce at special prices.
