Assam Environment and Forest Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary launched a new mobile application developed by the Pollution Control Board, Assam (PCBA) in collaboration with the National Informatics Centre (NIC). The app aims to streamline the online consent management and monitoring system (OCMMS) for industries and projects across the state.
The digital platform will enable real-time tracking and processing of Consent to Establish (CTE) and Consent to Operate (CTO) applications, reducing paperwork and manual intervention. PCBA Chairman Dr. Arup Kumar Misra highlighted that the app will improve compliance, enhance transparency, and speed up approvals, ensuring sustainable industrial development.
The app provides a single-window system for submission, processing, and approval of consent applications while allowing industries to track compliance and inspections. PCBA Member Secretary Gokul Bhuyan emphasized its role in promoting environmental responsibility among industries.
Minister Patowary stated that the app will strengthen trust between regulatory bodies and industries while empowering citizens to stay informed about environmental governance in Assam.
